Built for tattoo artists, not hairdressers

A salon suite gives you a room. We give you a business.

Salon suites in Colorado run $325 to $557 a week for a room, and the artist buys everything else alone. A commission chair takes half of every dollar. A Certified suite sits in between on price and beats both on what you actually get.

Certified Leads · optional

Want more clients? Switch on Certified Leads.

Certified books thousands of tattoos a year through its booking team, website, ads, app and walk in traffic. Turn Certified Leads on and that machine works for your suite. You keep 70% of every client we send you, plus every tip, and 100% of your own clients. No monthly fee. Switch it off any time with thirty days notice.

How it works

  • You set your styles, minimums and hours in Painless Booking. We only book what you told us to.
  • A client who found Certified through our channels is booked with you and tagged as a Certified Lead.
  • The client pays through Painless Booking. Our 30% comes off automatically. Your 70% pays out on the normal schedule.
  • A client who asked for you by name, came from your social media or was already in your book is yours. Never tagged, never charged.
  • After twelve months, every Certified Lead becomes your own client.

Do the math

What you keep, side by side.

Move the sliders to your numbers. This compares a Certified suite with Certified Leads on, a typical Colorado salon suite, and a 50/50 commission chair. Estimates before supplies and tax; your numbers will vary.

Salon suite all in: $1,911 a month rent (the midpoint of $325 to $557 a week published for Denver in 2026) plus about $360 a month for booking software, professional liability insurance, sharps and biohazard pickup, and the marketing you run yourself. In a salon suite nobody sends you clients, so the share above is work you would not have.

Straight talk

Who a suite is for, and who it is not for.

A suite is for you if

  • You have a book of clients and you are tired of paying half of it to a shop.
  • You are a body piercer with a following who wants your own room and your own retail case.
  • You are moving to Colorado and want a licensed, finished room on day one instead of a lease, a buildout and a permit process.
  • You want the freedom of a private studio and still want a booking team, a lobby and a community behind you.
  • You are a Certified resident artist ready for the next rung. Talk to Nando first.

A suite is not for you if

  • You are still building a book and need a shop to fill your days. A resident chair at Certified Tattoo Studios does that, with no rent. See Work Here.
  • You are not registered as a body art practitioner in El Paso County, or not willing to be before move in.
  • You do not carry, or will not carry, professional liability insurance.
  • You want to sublet the room, share your code, or run a business other than tattooing, piercing or permanent cosmetics.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is it a lease?
It is a twelve month suite license, the same structure salon suites use. You get your own lockable room and the shared areas; we keep the building licensed, cleaned and maintained. After twelve months you can renew (never more than a 5% increase for owners in good standing) or go month to month for $200 more.
What do I pay up front?
The first month and a one month deposit. Your first two weeks are free and are credited across months two and three. Autopay runs on the first of each month.
Do you take a percentage of my clients?
No. Never. Your clients pay you, you keep it all. The only percentage that exists is Certified Leads, which is optional, applies only to clients Certified sends you, and can be switched off any time.
How does Certified Leads decide whose client it is?
A client who reached Certified through our booking team, website, ads, app or walk in flow and was booked with you is a Certified Lead for twelve months. A client who asked for you by name, came from your own social media or referrals, or was already in your Painless Booking client list is yours, never tagged and never charged. You can see every tag in your dashboard and dispute one within seven days.
What licenses do I need?
Your El Paso County body art practitioner registration, bloodborne pathogen training, first aid and CPR, and your hepatitis B record or declination. The building holds the establishment license. We keep a compliance file for every suite so inspections are routine.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. Professional liability and general liability, $1 million per occurrence, naming Certified Tattoo Suites as additional insured. Most artists pay $500 to $700 a year. A group program option is coming for suite owners.
Can I keep my own name, brand and Instagram?
Yes, and you should. You operate under your own business name, set your own prices and hours, and keep your own brand. You can say you are located at Certified Tattoo Suites, and we list you on certifiedtattoo.com and in the Certified app.
Can I bring a guest artist or an apprentice?
Guests need approval, the same registrations and insurance as you, and a Duo Suite if it is ongoing. Apprentices are welcome in a Large or Duo Suite; the Academy in the building can train them.
Are piercers welcome?
Yes. The Piercing Suite comes with a retail case at your door and access to body jewelry at Certified's vendor pricing.
What if I want to leave early?
After month six you can end the license with sixty days notice and one month's fee, and the move in credit is repaid. Before month six the license runs its course. We would rather you stay because the room is worth it, not because the contract says so.
